Montrose Parade Info
Saturday, December 6th
I will
check us in at 4:30 at the pop-up tent/table located in the middle
of Honolulu Ave., just east of La Crescenta Ave. and find out where our
group will line up along Honolulu Ave. I
will contact you all by the reminder 101
text to let you know exactly where our lineup area is. Please make sure you are signed up for these
messages before Saturday!
You must be there by
5:00. It is recommended members of
the groups carpool and arrive early. Due to the number of street closures
and temporary no parking in and around the parade route, the later entrants
arrive the harder it is to find parking. If members of our group are not
in the lineup area by the time the parade starts at 6:10 pm, the entire line
starts moving, the empty gaps close up and you will have a difficult time
finding our group.
It
could be very cold so you should wear a white or red long sleeve shirt UNDER your Showtime shirt. Girls should wear the new hair bows and boys
should wear Santa hats, reindeer antlers, holiday head attire, etc. Parents are welcome to walk along with us as
long as you are dressed in festive holiday attire (Santa hats, Christmas
colors, etc.) This year's parade will be
telecast live and streamed on the Internet so they need everyone dressed in the
spirit of the holidays (No Santa suits as it's confusing to the kids when he
comes down the parade route last). A complaint they have received in the
past is parents not dressed up and walking by the TV camera talking on their
cell phones. Please be mindful of this!
